This first assignment is tied to your Cubist Designer Portraits.
I originally asked you to list your results on your Designer Portrait post, but now I'd like you to create a new Assignment #1 post and list it there.
Although Archetypes are usually used by designers to define a design message’s audience, we will use it to help define us as designers, as well as our personal design process.
Visit http://www.culturetalk.com/12-archetypes/ and read the explanations of the 12 Archetypes, then:
• Click on the “What’s Your Archetype” link and take the test to determine which archetype your are. Do this twice and indicate both your results.
• Analyze your personal design process from archetypal points of view, then list the collective percentages that comprise your way of designing.
For example, in class we discussed that the Explorer archetype might be related to Research, the Sage archetype to Setting Parameters, the Creator archetype to Concept Development, the Magican archetype to Imaging and Form, and so on…
20% Explorer / 10% Revoutionary / 10% Everyman / 20% Creator / 10% Jester / 30% Magician
Be sure to include your final cubist designer portrait(s) in the post next to your results.
This is due posted to your blog no later than Tuesday, October 25th.
